Today at work, Ms N brought in a set of pokker card from her Leadership training. She insisted to let us pick the cards and see how much we (the whole team) share the same values in life. It has started with Ms M. I was the second one to pick my cards.
First I have filtered all the cards and put aside all the irrelavant cards. It's not easy to choose only 6 cards that represents your own values. I have 7 or 8 cards that I think are all important for me. Without dragging too long, I put away the Volunteering/charity and kept another 7. Then I had another problem choosing between Fun and Wisdom. I think Wisdom is very important but without Fun in life is very sad for a life. ... So, I chosed Fun. The last step was to choose 3 most priority within the 6 important values. And here are what I have chosen:
1) Family -family first
2) Balance - balance between work life and personal times
3) Passion - enthusiasm to things in life
4) Courage - willing to take step for the possible risks
5) Simplicity - being simple in life
6)Fun - enjoy life to the fullest
Some of them took such a long time to pick the cards. Mine was quick, only take me less than 5 minutes. I think I have the sense of what I want in life.
