Risk Management Plan
My half working day today was spent on a Divisional Management Meeting and a big part of it was discussed about the Risk Management Plan. Out respected GM has ran through the brief of RMP a month ago and tasked all the department head to come out with a RMP for their respective department.
Mo was not in that 'education' section and I was told to convey the message to her. And that was a while ago we have completed the so call draft of our RMP and was forwarded to our big brother in the same team. Today, we came to this session where Mr RO wants to go through the RMP of each dept in front of everyone. Everyone here always refer to those who are in the meeting only. There's two new member in this division and therefore, the RMP session has unexpectedly dragging longger due to alot of objections and explaination and bla bla bla... It is, very tiring. But, if you see it from another angle, it's quite interesting. Some were quite neutral towards the ideas, some were quite opinionate, and some were quite offensive...and some...dunno. So,..it was a great session!
Another thing which I found interesting is different people looking at same thing differently. Some suggested that we should rephrase the sentence, the English is improper, ...but some commented that the meaning is understood as we are not in the English class, we don't have to be that particular in the way we write..... hmmm...I started to think I am one of the neutral fellow.
And I am now have to stay back in the office to edit my RMP so that it looks more like it is what it suppose to be. You dont know what I;m talking about? Doesn't matter here..it's just a diary anyway :) You dont have to scratch your head for this little matter

Life Values
Today at work, Ms N brought in a set of pokker card from her Leadership training. She insisted to let us pick the cards and see how much we (the whole team) share the same values in life. It has started with Ms M. I was the second one to pick my cards.
First I have filtered all the cards and put aside all the irrelavant cards. It's not easy to choose only 6 cards that represents your own values. I have 7 or 8 cards that I think are all important for me. Without dragging too long, I put away the Volunteering/charity and kept another 7. Then I had another problem choosing between Fun and Wisdom. I think Wisdom is very important but without Fun in life is very sad for a life. ... So, I chosed Fun. The last step was to choose 3 most priority within the 6 important values. And here are what I have chosen:
1) Family -family first
2) Balance - balance between work life and personal times
3) Passion - enthusiasm to things in life
4) Courage - willing to take step for the possible risks
5) Simplicity - being simple in life
6)Fun - enjoy life to the fullest
Some of them took such a long time to pick the cards. Mine was quick, only take me less than 5 minutes. I think I have the sense of what I want in life.

"Lao Su" - The mickey mouse
Hilton understand what is call 'Lao Su' in Mandarin instead of all other language. He doesnt understand 'rat', 'mickey mouse', .. but when I say in Mandarin, he immediately alert and would search everywhere for the rat. I love to see his face expression and reaction when he hear:"Lao Su"!
Then he would act like a big boy protecting mommy, wanna to catch it.

If I have to leave him
3:20am The idea of probably have to seperate with Hilton scared me. I woke up from dreams and tears was already flowing on my face. Again, the question of what do I pursuing in life appear to me. If I'm to be an ultimate traveller, I don't seems to be able to keep a dog, untill the day I settle down myself. But when will that be? I don't know.
For this uncertainty, am I going to give him away? There were many times before that I had an idea of giving him up; when he was tremendously destroyed my home furnitures or my belongings; when he didn't understand he shouldn't bite me or anyone. But I swayed that I would never gave him up. He is my child. My little one who is the most loyal to me no matter what, because he has only one person in life who love him and spoiled him. It's me.
For some people, this is sounds ridiculous! They don't understand the bond between an animal and a human being can be such strong and the love is so deep. Well, I can still remember how Ozzy was when the day when I am leaving Boston, most probably leaving his life forever. Tears was in his eyes that I saw so obvious he was depressed.
I still remember when I had little talk with my good friends in Boston: The human can talk on the phone or email, but Ozzy can't read and write u an email even if he miss you. He can only keep everything to himself, in the bottom of his heart!
But it was still okay for me to leave Ozzy because his family is still there with him. They love him. But who is here for Hilton if I'm leaving? I am the only family and only one for him.
God, can you show me what to do? I'm going to kiss him up, in the middle of the night now, to give him a big hug!
