Kapiolani Farmers Market

Visited to Kapiolani Farmers Market this morning. Woke up my bed rather early at 6:45am in order to catch the bus from school at 7:15am. It's a field trip for the course 509 Special topics - Innovation.

There's nothing special or vow for this market but we were given an assignment to watch the Gemba and create the values. The weather was great, the atmosphere is pleasant. My team finally defined it as a place that offers sensory delights, treasure hunt experience, to see, to be seen and to belong to.

Everyone seems to be getting something to eat at the market so did I. I had bought a pack of Taro Mouchi and salmon fried rice for my lunch. After we watch the Gamba, we headed back to school for Y-Gaya and presentation. It's a very good experience of Y-gaya in which you have to work together with so many people who came from different backgrounds and how you not offence them but able to express your thoughts.

Conclusion is, Prof. Kobayashi encourage us to always ask ourselves 2 questions wherever we go in the future:

1) What is the values of this place/ why so many people want to come here?
2) What is the future values (in 10 - 15 years)?

Alright, I think I have to go back to my studies...alot more to do and read before I can go out for sightseeing tomorrow
