I have heard from some people that the hair dresser of this salon is very good in doing hair perm. So I walk in this morning to check it out. The moment I step in to this salon, I am not so convinced as the salon interior is so worn out and messy. And the hair dresser that trimming a hair for his customer told me that the 'shi fu' went out for a while. I then turned on my laptop to show her this pic and see if he can do this. He said this is done by temporary hair setting and not permanent perm. With my sceptical eye expression, he then said:"yeah, can do, but this wont last you too long." I don't mind whether it doesnt stay long if the curves are what I want. Then later I repeat the same thing to the so call 'shi fu', and told her what kind of curvy hair I have done before and what I want this time. And then, she said :"yes, can do." so confidence!
Well, I was then convinced and decided to let them touch my hair. After 3 and a half hours, when I open my eye and look at my new hair style, with my fulll excitement, "What! This is totally not what I want!!!!" OMG...... I almost cry in front of all other customers. And they feel nothing wrong with it. No no no, definately no, not the same, at all!
The moral behind is:
Always go back to the one who is more reliable, who has proven record on yourself. Do not be so adventurous when come to picking a hair stylist for yourself. Pay 200 bucks more for the better hair stylist in town, and do not apply the philosophy 'expensive doesnt mean is better' because the better hair stylist knows his own strengths and dare to charge more.
My hair was expected to look like this, a natural wavy romantic curl! I don't even want to post my own hair pic here...
